Excavator Operator Brings Attention To Safety Issues

Foreman Matt Hobbs said: “Mike is always bringing issues to my attention. He’s not afraid to speak up to me or other members of the crew, making sure everyone is always safe.”

Safety Director Dominic Pope said: “Mike always wears his PPE (personal protective equipment), inspects his equipment prior to work, and looks out for other members of the crew. Even though he’s only been with our organization for a year and half, it’s clear that he is an up-and-comer in our organization.”

Gaines and Company is proud of its groundbreaking safety excellence program. In both the Maryland and North Carolina divisions, a Safety Excellence Achievement Award is given on a quarterly basis to employees who go above and beyond in their dedication to safety. All quarterly awardees are eligible for the Year-End Safety Excellence Award recognition.
