Eileen Dowling Recognized for 25 Year Achievement
Sometimes when employees come aboard, they instantly become family. That is what happened when Eileen Dowling joined the Gaines and Company team 25 years ago in an accounting role. Gaines and Company recognizes Eileen for the significant accounting contributions she continually makes to the Gaines and Company organization and thanks her for her dedication over the last 25 years… and counting!
“Eileen is one of those people who works behind the scenes that our customers never see. But truly, she keeps this organization going,” said Vice President David Gaines.
Eileen Dowling joined Gaines and Company in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Towson University. She is responsible for all accounting functions at Gaines and Company’s locations in both Maryland and North Carolina. From office billing and payroll to federal motor carrier and tax reporting, Eileen manages all accounting responsibilities. Her work is meticulous, and she is extremely savvy in her expertise. In addition to her primary accounting responsibilities, Eileen also manages five other positions, works closely with project managers, and is the company’s direct correspondent to its outside accounting firm. She is a detail-oriented person who gets along with everyone.
“Eileen accurately and seamlessly manages so much within our organizations. We are always confident that if it is in her hands, then it will be completed appropriately,” added David.
Eileen joined Gaines and Company – which provides turnkey site development services to customers throughout Maryland, North Carolina, Washington D.C., and Delaware – with just a handful of foremen at its locations in Maryland and North Carolina. The company has now grown to over 20 foremen at each location. Gaines and Company is known for specializing in safe and reliable underground utilities, grading, excavating, erosion controls, and road work and has a proven record of superior results thanks to its cutting-edge equipment, robust safety culture, and experienced personnel, like Eileen.
“On behalf of the entire leadership team at Gaines and Company, I am delighted to congratulate Eileen for 25 years with the company and look forward to even more to come,” said David. “Thank you, Eileen, for your substantial contribution to our organization!”
