SAFETY EXCELLENCE PROGRAM
Part of Gaines and Company’s ongoing commitment to safety excellence is to recognize employees for their outstanding safety performance on and off the job.
In both the Maryland and North Carolina divisions, a Safety Excellence achievement award is given on a quarterly basis to any employee or crew who goes above and beyond in their dedication to safety.
The success of Gaines and Company’s Safety Excellence Program is due to the proactive approach everyone takes on a daily basis – from management, to field crews and office staff. For instance, weekly company-wide toolbox talks are given by the Safety Director. These serve as a venue to openly discuss prevention tactics and safety solutions which ensures safety is always at the forefront of all daily work and activities that extend from the jobsite to being off duty.
Gaines and Company has a longstanding Safety Excellence Program in place and is excited to announce the addition of the E-Safety Shop, further strengthening the existing program.

SAFETY RECOGNITION E-STORE
At Gaines and Company, safety is always front and center. Having safety on the mind every day means going home to our families every night.
One valuable component of the Safety Excellence Program is the new Gaines and Company safety recognition e-store.
Employees who work safely daily can earn safety bucks and scratchers, providing them with the opportunity to redeem points and ‘shop for safety’.
This employee e-store also offers the freedom to choose from a wide variety of products like tumblers, shirts, tools and camping gear.
SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Safety excellence award recipients have their photo taken and are highlighted on the company website with a description of the valuable contribution to safety they have made. Additionally, they receive a safety excellence achievement certificate and safety bucks to use on gear from the Gaines and Company safety recognition e-store.
