“Our work is very specific,” said Carroll Tree Service President Steve Mays, Jr. “Our projects are usually 2-3 acres or smaller. We often come in when Gaines is on an inaccessible site or doing roadside work. We have several certified arborists on our team who are uniquely equipped to perform on those challenging sites to the level of production that Gaines and their clients expect.”

Carroll Tree Service is a 4th generation, family-run company. In fact, Steve, the oldest of nine kids, is just one of seven siblings who are employed full-time by the company.
“We grew up with the business,” said Steve. “In fact, I couldn’t imagine us all not working together.”
The organization doesn’t bring in other subcontractors to do the work. They are fully equipped to manage unique projects in-house. This self-performance ensures the successful delivery of reliable, quality work.
What about safety? They were one of the first privately-held tree businesses in the area with an accredited safety program, ensuring the highest standard of care to its employees and customers.

Carroll Tree Service is an active member of the Maryland Arborists Association. They volunteer time and expertise to local communities through arboriculture service projects.
