Subcontractor Spotlight: Ruhlman Brothers
Ruhlman Brothers formless curbing has worked with Gaines and Company for nearly 40 years.
Gaines and Company works hard to uphold their reputation as a leading site development company in the Mid-Atlantic region. When choosing subcontractors to work with, they demand reputable companies that consistently deliver exceptional work. Ruhlman Brothers formless curbing fits this mold!
Over the years, Ruhlman Brothers has developed several exclusive trade techniques.
Ruhlman Brothers was established in 1964 by three brothers. For the first 11 years of operations, they performed all work by hand. However, in 1975, the organization purchased one of the first slip form curb machines in the area. Yearly operations quickly went from pouring 100,000 linear feet (LF) of curb to 700,000 LF, changing the trajectory of the company.
Sixty years later, family-owned and operated Ruhlman Brothers still provides quality curb and gutter work at a fair price.
They offer over 50 different molds to satisfy curbing requirements of various counties.
They have about 40 employees, most of which either are family or have become like family.
What sets Ruhlman Brothers apart?
Ruhlman Brothers offers over 50 molds to meet curb and gutter requirements for various counties.
“We have a unique way of doing corners, radii, and tie-ins. We don’t have to set forms. Instead, think of it more like sculpting the concrete. Some of the techniques we use are exclusive to our company,” said Ruhlman Brothers Vice President Rainee Ruhlman. “This process allows us to get the job done faster. We do everything the same day.”
Ruhlman Brothers has been working with Gaines and Company for nearly 40 years.
“Ruhlman Brothers does all our curb and gutter work,” said Gaines Project Manager Keith Eagle. “I love working with them because I know they will show up when they’re supposed to and get the work done quickly and without issues.”
