Simmons and Simmons was established in 1986. Today, it has over 40 employees strategically poised throughout North Carolina. Similar to Gaines and Company, it is also a family-owned and operated business.
“My dad worked with me for about 20 years. We always got along real good. And now my son works here,” said Owner David Simmons. “We have a great group of operators that really take pride in their work.”
David says that it’s these operators that really set the company apart from other land clearing companies.
“They not only complete work in a timely manner, but they do a good job. They want their work to look good enough to be beside their own houses,” said David.

“We always wear our PPE and use safety equipment,” said David. He added that they happily comply when companies have additional safety procedures.

When not providing land clearing services, David is often found working with the local Shriners International chapter.
