When an organization is loyal to its customers, its customers are loyal in return. This is the case with Gaines and Company. Our customers know exactly what to expect from us on every project, and we work hard to uphold our reliable reputation. This takes an enormous effort from our entire organization, primarily our project managers. Gaines and Company’s three project managers working out of the Maryland office oversee million-dollar projects with poise and professionalism, driving success and long-lasting customer relationships.
Gaines and Company, which has offices in Maryland and North Carolina, safely delivers quality, turnkey site development services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region on time and within budget.
This statement may sound simple. However, it takes a succinct team of experienced professionals to deliver industry-leading utility and grading site development and excavation services – and we have been doing it for almost seven decades. The company’s project managers play a huge role in this success.

Gaines and Company project managers seamlessly oversee, schedule, and budget both small- and large-scale projects, such as the recent Presidential Parkway project (pictured).
Gaines and Company’s Maryland office has three project managers – Eric Boone, Eric Yandrofski, and Tighe Harrison. These project managers oversee all grading and utility projects in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware.
Project managers are responsible for submitting bids, managing budgets, ordering materials, maintaining schedules, and overseeing the flow of operations. They are also in continuous communication with Gaines and Company’s supervisors and third-party engineers to ensure projects are progressing with quality, while keeping all parties updated on operations and schedules.
“Project managers have a lot on their shoulders. These guys are on top of current operations, while thinking steps ahead,” said Vice President David Gaines, who oversees the Project Management team.
Gaines and Company’s Maryland project managers have a combined 35 years of project management experience at Gaines and Company. They manage several customers and about 5-8 grading and utility projects of varying sizes at one time.
“Watching these guys tirelessly direct projects while maintaining professionalism and poise is the perfect representation of who we are as an organization,” said David. “In our industry, obstacles pop up every day. Some are easily resolved, while others require re-engineering. Despite moving parts and constant changes, this team does not get rattled. Instead, they are agile and work together to problem-solve and progress with each project.”
Gaines and Company’s project managers uphold its well-deserved, industry-leading reputation while continually enhancing operations, schedules, and budgets to further customer satisfaction.
